1. Introduction
KB Innovation, LLC ("KB Innovation," "we," "us," or "our") is a nonprofit ministry organization, an affiliate of Kingdom Builders US, and the parent company that owns and operates a family of software platforms for the local church, including Geaux™, our free, AI-guided capital campaign platform. Our platforms help churches and ministry organizations discover, design, and deliver generosity and capital campaigns.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites, the KB Innovation platforms (each a "Platform"), our premium add-on features, our donation features, and any related services (collectively, the "Services") where this policy is posted. The Platform is free to use; optional paid premium add-ons and voluntary contributions are described in our Terms & Conditions.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
We currently provide the Services to users located in the United States.
2. Who This Policy Covers, and Our Role
The Services are designed for use by churches and ministry organizations and the individuals who use them on an organization's behalf (pastors, staff, campaign leaders, and authorized volunteers). In this policy:

"You" refers to an individual using the Services.
•
"Your organization" refers to the church or ministry on whose behalf you use the Services.
Some Platforms allow an organization to invite additional users, or to share read-only views of selected content with people outside the account. This policy also covers personal information we process about those individuals.
Our role. For your account and contact information, KB Innovation decides how the information is used and is the controller. For information your organization uploads, connects, or provides about its members, givers, or households, your organization is the controller: it is responsible for that information and for having the right to provide it to us, and we process it on the organization's behalf and under its direction, as described in the data-processing terms of our Terms & Conditions.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only the information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
•
Account and contact information. Name, email address, phone number, role or title, organization name, and login credentials.
•
Organization and ministry profile. Information about your church or ministry, such as size, location, leadership structure, and ministry context.
•
Assessment and readiness inputs. The responses, descriptions, financial-readiness information, vision and leadership inputs, and other content you provide when you complete a readiness assessment or use our planning and strategy tools.
•
Content you create or generate. Vision language, case-for-support drafts, sermon and communication content, budgets, roadmaps, dashboards, and other materials you create or that the Platform's AI generates from your inputs.
•
Payment and contribution information. If you purchase premium add-ons or make a voluntary contribution (including recurring Lagniappe Club gifts), payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers; we receive limited transaction and billing details (such as the last four digits, billing contact, and subscription or giving status).
•
Uploaded and connected-service data. Your organization may upload giving or membership files directly, and, as integrations become available, may authorize a connection with a giving platform or church management system (ChMS). In either case we receive the data fields your organization chooses to provide or connect, which may include giving, pledge, participation, and household information.
•
Usage and device information. Log data, IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, features used, and similar analytics data.
•
Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 9.
•
Communications. Records of your support requests, survey responses, and correspondence with us, including any information shared during phone or in-person advisory sessions.
4. Sensitive Information
Some information you provide (for example, religious affiliation inherent to using a faith-based platform, or detailed financial-readiness information) may be considered sensitive under certain laws. We use this information only to provide and improve the Services as described in this policy, and we do not use or disclose it for purposes other than those a reasonable user would expect, except with your consent or as required by law. Where applicable law requires consent to process sensitive information, we obtain it.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including delivering your readiness profile, strategy guide, plans, and dashboards;

Generate AI-assisted content and recommendations based on your inputs (see Section 6);
•
Provide a connected experience across the KB Innovation platform family, so a single account and organization profile can work across the Platforms you choose to use;
•
Process premium subscriptions, payments, and voluntary contributions;
•
Provide customer support and advisory services;
•
Communicate with you about your account, updates, and (where permitted) relevant ministry resources;
•
Maintain the security and integrity of the Services and prevent fraud or abuse;
•
Improve and develop the Services, including model and feature improvement using de-identified or aggregated data (see Section 7);
•
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
6. AI Processing and Automated Content
A core feature of the Platforms is the use of artificial intelligence through Navigator, the in-product AI guide, shaping your inputs into vision language, strategy recommendations, and ministry content. Navigator is clearly identified as AI, and we disclose when you are interacting with AI rather than a human.

Your inputs may be processed by trusted third-party AI service providers in order to generate this output. We contract with these providers to handle your information only as needed to provide the Services, and our agreements do not permit them to use your information to train their general-purpose models.
•
AI-generated content is produced automatically and may contain errors or omissions. It is intended as a starting point, and you remain responsible for reviewing all output for theological, financial, legal, and factual accuracy before relying on or distributing it.
•
Where our recommendations are generated through automated means, you can contact us to ask questions about, or request human review of, a recommendation that significantly affects your organization.
7. De-Identified and Aggregated Data
We may create de-identified and aggregated data from information processed through the Services (for example, anonymized benchmarks across the five readiness domains, generosity and campaign trends, and similar insights). We use this data to operate, improve, and research the Services and to publish aggregate findings (such as a State of Church Generosity report).
De-identified and aggregated data does not identify you, your organization, or any individual. We maintain it in de-identified form, we do not attempt to re-identify it, and we contractually require any recipient to do the same. We may retain and use this data even after your account is closed.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
We share information only as follows:
•
Service providers / subprocessors. Vendors that help us operate the Services (including hosting, AI processing, analytics, payment processing, email and communications, and customer support) under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing services to us.
•
Within the KB Innovation platform family. If you use more than one Platform, your account and organization information may be used across those Platforms to provide a single, connected experience. Every Platform in the family is operated by KB Innovation, LLC under this policy.
•
Content you choose to share. When your organization invites users or creates a read-only share link, the shared content is visible to the people you invite or to anyone who has the link.
•
Integrations you authorize. When your organization connects a third-party giving platform or ChMS (as those integrations become available), information flows between that service and KB Innovation as you direct. Those third parties handle data under their own privacy policies.
•
Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of KB Innovation, our users, or others.
•
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, ministry restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
•
With your direction or consent. When you ask us to share information or otherwise consent.
•
De-identified or aggregated form. As described in Section 7.
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the Services. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control).
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for the period reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. De-identified and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.
11. Data Security and Breach Notice
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by applicable law.
12. Your Privacy Choices and U.S. State Privacy Rights
You can:

Access and update your account information by logging in or contacting us;
•
Delete your account by contacting us at privacy@kbinnovation.co;
•
Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us (we may still send service-related messages);
•
Manage integrations and share links by disconnecting or disabling them in your settings.
U.S. state privacy rights
A growing number of states have comprehensive privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, with additional laws (including Alabama's) taking effect in 2027. Many of these laws exempt nonprofit organizations or apply only above certain volume thresholds; where a law does not apply to us, we honor the request rights below as a matter of practice anyway. Depending on where you live, these laws may give you the right to:
Know and access. Confirm whether we process your personal information and receive a copy of it, in a portable format where required.
Correct. Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
Delete. Ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
Opt out. Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is generally nothing to opt out of; we also honor recognized opt-out preference signals as described in Section 9.
Limit sensitive information. Limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Services.
Non-discrimination. Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
Exercising your rights. To make a request, contact us at privacy@kbinnovation.co. We will verify your request before responding (and, for requests tied to an organization account, may ask the organization's administrator to confirm), and we respond within the timeframes required by applicable law, generally within 45 days, with one extension where reasonably necessary. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is unsuccessful, you may contact your state attorney general.
Organization-held information. Where we process information about your organization's members, givers, or households on the organization's behalf (see Section 2), we may route your request to the organization, which is responsible for that information.
13. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for organizational and professional use by adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Where state law provides additional protections for minors, we honor them; we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising for any user, minors included.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services that we do not control, including our lending partner, Wesleyan Investment Foundation (WIF). Any information you provide directly to WIF or to another third party is governed by their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide advance notice by email or prominent in-product notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
